The Shaping of Atlanta HerringtonAtlanta Herrington was born in Dallas, TX to LaTanya Herrington and Trinity Smith on 7/19/1970. Atlanta was a very pretty baby, often attracting attention wherever he went. He rarely cried or caused a fuss. At the age of 10, Atlanta got his hands on a basketball. He had a talent for the game. Under the instruction of his uncle, Cleveland Herrington, Atlanta began to learn the fundamentals of the game. In 1982, Atlanta moved to Lakeshore, Maddocha to live with his grandmother. When Atlanta moved to Lakeshore, he began to hang around with the wrong crowd, getting into trouble and skipping school. Atlanta's grandmother called his uncle, Cleveland, who moved to Lakeshore to be near Atlanta. At first, Atlanta resisted the help of his uncle, after some time, Atlanta began to come around. Cleveland began to teach Atlanta how to be a gentleman. Cleveland taught his nephew how to respect others and treat them with respect. With these new lessons, Atlanta became a model basketball player and young man. On October 23, 1986, Atlanta Herrington made a step that would forever change his life. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior. By the time Atlanta graduated high school, he was the top high school basketball player in Maddocha. He was being recruited by every college in Maddocha. He chose to attend Maddocha University in his home city of Lakeshore. This was the best decision that Atlanta could have made. |
